Role: Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Columbus OH (Onsite)

Duration: Contract until end of year (with possibility of extension)

Work Schedule: Sun Thu 8:00 AM 5:00 PM EST (Fixed Shift)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong expertise in enterprise storage and infrastructure support.
This role is focused on production support incident management customer and vendor interaction and migration activities.
The ideal candidate will ensure the availability reliability and performance of mission-critical systems in a client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 24/7 production support coverage during assigned shift for enterprise infrastructure systems.
Monitor system health troubleshoot issues and resolve incidents in a timely manner.
Manage track and close incident tickets ensuring adherence to SLAs and documentation standards. Work closely with customers internal teams and vendors to resolve technical issues.
Support and facilitate migration projects including planning execution and post-migration validation. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to improve system reliability.
Maintain operational documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Required Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with enterprise storage platforms including: PowerFlex SolidFire VMAX 3PAR
Solid understanding of networking technologies and hardware including: Brocade Cisco
Experience in incident management troubleshooting and production support operations.
Hands-on experience supporting infrastructure migrations.

Required Qualifications

8 years of experience in SRE Infrastructure Engineering Storage Engineering or Systems Engineering roles.
Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact directly with customers and vendors. Willingness and ability to work onsite at the client location during fixed hours.
Experience working in enterprise production environments.

Nice to Have

Experience with ITIL processes and incident management tools (ServiceNow preferred)
Exposure to automation monitoring tools and reliability engineering best practices.
