Job Summary
ameriCARE - Portland is seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to our clients in the Hillsboro OR area. As a Caregiver you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for individuals by offering personalized care in the comfort of their homes.

Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene aspects of care to the client including bathing oral hygiene skin care and hair care.
- Assist with transfer of cliente.g. bed to chair bed to commode chair/commode to bed.
- Assist with ambulation and exercise of the client as ordered and as assigned.
- Assist with or provide meal preparation and related tasks.
- Assist with the feeding of the client.
- Maintain a clean safe and comfortable environment for the client.
- Have an awareness of the emotional status of the client and be able to understand the emotionalproblems associated with the illness.
- Coordinate care with the primary nurse and/or the clinical manager.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of visits.
- Attend regular meetings of the Private Home Care team and have direct involvement in developing implementing and evaluating the plan of care.
- Report client progress and problems to supervisory personnel and procedures for handling medical emergencies or other incidents that affect the delivery of services in accordance with the clients service plan.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Prior experience in caregiving or related fields preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and mobility assistance.
- Reliable compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation is a plus.
- CNA license is required.
