Job Summary
Ever been told you have a calming presence or youre great at putting individuals at ease simply by being there
Wed love to tell you about our Companion Volunteer role taking place at the Good Hope Hospital in Birmingham
Availability: 3 hours per week - flexible to suit you
Location: Good Hope Hospital Rectory Road Royal Sutton Coldfield B75 7RR
Criteria: Minimimum 18 years or older. A criminal records check is required for this opportunity. Marie Curie will cover the cost for you

What youll do:
- Visit different patients at Good Hope Hospital Birmingham
- Each visit may be with a different person offering variety and new conversations
- Share a cup of tea a chat or simply quiet companionship
- Listen to stories memories or just talk about the everyday
You dont have to have all the answers - its all about showing up with kindness and presence.
Youd be a great fit if youre:
- Caring and compassionate nature
- Patience and good listening skills
- Comfortable with sensitive topicssuch as death dying and bereavement
- Comfortable with email and completing a brief visit report
- Respectful of boundaries and confidentiality
