Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development and management along with fluent proficiency in Japanese to effectively communicate with our Japanese clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the SAP ABAP development team ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate closely with business users functional consultants and project managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Oversee the design development testing and deployment of custom ABAP programs reports interfaces and enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the SAP environment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize existing ABAP developments.
- Coordinate with offshore and onsite teams leveraging excellent Japanese communication skills for seamless collaboration.
- Mentor and train junior ABAP developers.
- Participate in project planning resource allocation and progress reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Proven experience in managing ABAP development teams.
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules and integration points.
- Fluent in Japanese (reading writing and speaking) is mandatory.
- Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced multicultural environment.
- SAP certification is a plus.
