Job Title: Procurement Officer / Procurement Specialist
Location: Qatar
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to manage and support end-to-end procurement activities in compliance with the regulations and procedures of government entities within the State of Qatar. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of government tendering processes excellent coordination skills and the ability to work effectively in both Arabic and English.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full procurement cycle including planning sourcing tendering evaluation awarding and contract administration.
Prepare and review tender documents RFQs RFPs and contracts in line with Qatar government procurement laws and internal policies.
Coordinate with government entities suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant procurement activities.
Evaluate bids and proposals participate in technical and commercial evaluations and prepare comparison reports.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with applicable government regulations policies and audit requirements.
Maintain accurate procurement records documentation and reporting.
Support negotiations with suppliers to achieve best value quality and delivery terms.
Monitor supplier performance and manage vendor relationships.
Provide guidance on procurement best practices and government tendering procedures.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement.
Mandatory experience working with government entities within the State of Qatar.
Strong familiarity with Qatar government tendering procedures and public-sector procurement processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Procurement or a related field (preferred).
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
Strong knowledge of procurement laws regulations and tendering frameworks in Qatar.
Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
Proficient in MS Office and procurement or ERP system
