We are supporting an established education and training organisation delivering Adult Skills Fund (ASF) provision nationally. They are seeking an experienced and passionate Health & Social Care Tutor to deliver high-quality adult learning programmes. This is a full-time remote role with a blend of virtual classroom delivery and face-to-face community-based sessions.
Role Overview
The Health & Social Care Tutor will be responsible for delivering engaging teaching assessment and feedback to adult learners undertaking Level 2 and Level 3 Adult Care qualifications. The role focuses on learner achievement progression and engagement working collaboratively with internal teams and partner organisations to support positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality Health & Social Care teaching to adult learners at Levels 2 and 3
Provide timely constructive assessment and feedback in line with agreed KPIs
Monitor learner progress achievement and attendance
Deliver learning via virtual classrooms and face-to-face community provision
Provide impartial information advice and guidance (IAG) to support learner progression and career pathways
Respond promptly and professionally to learner queries or concerns
Work collaboratively with tutors team leaders and support services to implement learner interventions
Maintain accurate and compliant learner records in line with funding and audit requirements
Promote equality inclusion and positive learner wellbeing across all delivery
Safeguarding Responsibilities
Promote and safeguard the welfare of all learners
Identify report and escalate safeguarding concerns promptly
Adhere fully to organisational safeguarding and safer recruitment policies
Performance Expectations
Maintain agreed learner achievement and retention rates
Assess and return learner work within KPI timeframes
Deliver consistently high-quality teaching and learning
Person Specification Health & Social Care Tutor
Essential Qualifications
Teaching qualification at Level 3 or equivalent
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
CAVA or equivalent assessor qualification
Level 2 IAG qualification or willingness to achieve within 12 months
Experience
Experience delivering adult learning or vocational training in Health & Social Care
Experience of inspection under the current Ofsted framework
Proven track record of supporting learner achievement and progression
Experience working within funded provision (ASF or similar)
Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and inclusive practice
Familiarity with online learning platforms virtual classrooms and learner management systems
Strong organisational planning and IT skills
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
Skills & Attributes
Commitment to continuous improvement and high standards of learner achievement
Ability to motivate and engage adult learners
Strong communication skills across a range of stakeholders
Flexible proactive and resilient approach to work
Ability to adapt to change and manage workload effectively
