Job Summary

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Strong understanding of Blackline Account Reconciliation system.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle EBS.
  • Strong understanding of Blackline integrations with EBS or Fusion Cloud systems.
  • Knowledge of AWS is a plus.
  • 7 years Information Technology experience.
  • 7 years of overall Functional and Technical experience with Blackline Account Reconciliation system including system admin and configuration.
  • Understanding of OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) technology is a plus.
  • Strong leadership operational and change/project management skills.
  • Experience working in hosted services environments.
  • Experience working with external vendor for service management.
  • Post-secondary qualification in Computer Science Management Information Systems or other related fields.
  • Oracle Certification is preferred.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Microsoft Operating Framework (MOF) qualifications and experience highly regarded.

    • Experience with relational (Oracle and SQL) database as well as infrastructure management and system monitoring.
    • Linux/Unix skills.
    • Experience with data warehousing and data modelling.
    • Experience with internet/intranet networking technologies.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • MS Office suite of applications MSAD and Citrix.
    • Stay up to date with current and emerging technology and computing trends.
  • People Skills:
    • Excellent written oral and communications skills.
    • Strong coaching / mentoring skills.
    • Ability to work in globally dispersed virtual teams across a number of Information Technology and finance disciplines.
    • Strong negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to resolve conflicting priorities.
    • Strong organizational skills including ability to prioritize own workload and that of others in a pressurized environment to tight deadlines.
    • Team player able to work collaboratively with other at all levels of the organization.
    • High level of trust and integrity.
    • Key stakeholders will include the CIO CFO global and regional IT and finance directors finance controllers business process owners (BPO) as well as other functional leaders.

The Role

As an Applications Technical Specialist II with Worley you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

  • Extent of Guidance or Control:
    • Work within the Information Technology governance framework taking guidance from the Global Application Services Manager.
    • Work closely with global finance leadership teams as well as outsourced support teams (functional and technical) to deliver efficient applications and ensure systems availability during key reporting periods (month end forecast budget etc).
  • Impact of Decisions on Results:
    • High impact of decisions on application solutions and ongoing application operations.
    • Effective decisions leading to stable environments.
  • Position Significance Relative to Total Organisation:
    • Responsible for applications availability and stability across the organization.
    • Act as the liaison between finance teams and IT groups.
    • Handle escalations raised by finance/IT communities.
  • Other Relevant Information
    • This role is a global assignment and requires flexibility of working outside of business hours (including week ends) to collaborate with other team members and clients in different time zones.
