Requirements

At NexGenTek the finance function operates as a strategic backbone for global delivery staff augmentation and enterprise technology programs. The Assistant Manager Finance role supports financial governance across multi geography operations ensures compliance driven accounting practices and strengthens decision making for leadership teams.
The position requires strong hands-on ownership across accounting operations reporting audits taxation payroll coordination and financial controls while working closely with business stakeholders across delivery HR legal and leadership.


Key Responsibilities


Financial Operations and Accounting:
Manage end to end accounting operations including AP AR GL and monthly closures
Ensure accurate and timely month end quarter end and year-end financial closing
Maintain books of accounts in alignment with statutory and management reporting standards
Oversee revenue recognition for staff augmentation and project-based engagements


Financial Reporting and MIS
Prepare monthly financial statements P and L balance sheet and cash flow reports
Build leadership level MIS dashboards covering revenue margins utilization and cost controls
Analyze variances against budgets forecasts and prior periods with actionable insights
Support management with financial inputs for business planning and expansion decisions
Compliance Taxation and Audit
Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements including GST TDS income tax and labor laws
Coordinate internal external and statutory audits with complete documentation readiness
Manage timely filings returns and audit closures across India and USA entities
Work closely with legal and compliance teams on contracts financial clauses and risk controls


Payroll Vendor and Cost Management
Coordinate payroll processing with HR teams across multiple employment types
Manage vendor payments contractor payouts and reconciliation processes
Monitor operating expenses and implement cost optimization initiatives
Ensure accurate billing collections and client invoicing cycles


Budgeting Forecasting and Controls
Support annual budgeting and rolling forecast exercises
Track budget adherence and flag risks or overruns proactively
Strengthen internal financial controls and SOP adherence
Drive automation and process improvements within finance operations


Required Skills and Qualifications


Educational Background

Chartered Accountant MBA Finance or equivalent qualification
Strong foundation in accounting finance taxation and compliance
Professional Experience
5 to 7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles
Prior exposure to IT services staff augmentation or consulting environment preferred
Experience working with multi geography operations like India USA or global delivery models is a plus
Technical and Functional Skills
Hands on experience with accounting systems such as Zoho Books QuickBooks NetSuite or similar
Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling and MIS reporting
Strong understanding of GST TDS payroll compliance and audit processes
Ability to work with cross functional teams in fast paced environments
