RQ09958 Specialized IT Consultant Senior

Responsibilities:

• The main responsibility of this resource is to provide the services of a full stack Oracle developer specialized in APEX PL/SQL with some exposure to the other Oracle development tools being used in these applications such as ODI and the relational database.
  
• Works in partnership with clients advising them on information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems work to improve structure and efficiency of an organizations I&IT systems.
  
• The I&IT Consultant may be used to provide strategic guidance to organizations with regard to Information Management & IT technology IT infrastructures and the enablement of major business processes through enhancements to IT.
  
• Provides subject matter expertise in their field and highly expert technical assistance.
  

General Skills:

• Acts as the technical advisor/expert on all aspects of a specific deliverable
  
• Provide the quality assurance/quality control of specific deliverables
  
• Anticipates and resolves problems to ensure that the deliverables are completed within budget to the highest quality meeting or exceeding expectations
  
• Develops processes and procedures for implementing deliverables
  
• Prepares reports and presentations including options recommendations implementation plans etc.
  
• Works with clients to define the scope of a project and to determine requirements
  
• Defines software hardware and network requirements
  
• Analyzes I&IT requirements giving independent and objective advice on the use of I&IT
  
• Designs tests installs and monitors new systems and develops solutions and implementation of new systems
  
• Familiar with change-management principles and methodology
  
• Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles concepts policies and practices

Experience and Skill Set Requirements:

Must Haves:

• Oracle developer with focus and deep experience with APEX (Oracle Application Express) min of 7 years of solid hands on experience
  
• Demonstrated advanced level of knowledge of creating PL/SQL procedures functions and package with at least 10 years experience.
  
• Built Complex Applications
  

Skill Set Requirements:

Core Technical Skills:

• Demonstrated experience installing configuring and developing applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX) with a minimum of 7 years of solid hands-on experience.
  
• Demonstrated experience developing APEX applications using Java/JavaScript and similar development tools to extend basic functionality.
  
• Demonstrated experience (at least one upgrade) upgrading Oracle APEX including involvement in migrating APEX applications across operating systems.
  
• Demonstrated experience performing the basic functions of a database administrator.
  
• Demonstrated advanced level of knowledge of creating PL/SQL procedures functions and package with at least 10 years experience.
  
• Demonstrated knowledge of techniques for optimizing the performance of SQL queries DML and APEX applications.
  
• Demonstrated experience integrating APEX with ODI.
  
• Demonstrated experience using BI Publisher reports in conjunction with APEX.
  
• Experience with at least one APEX application that is integrated with OAM (Oracle Single Sign-On).
  

Application-Specific Skills:

• Demonstrated experience working with applications that perform transfer payments or similar financial transaction management functionality.
  
• Demonstrated experience working with applications that allocate funding.
  
• More than 2 years experience working with APEX in a Hyperion Planning or Essbase environment ideally with APEX being used to manage the metadata..
  
• Demonstrated experience providing and delivering Oracle-based solutions that are GO-ITS compliance and familiarity with GO-ITS standards and processes would be an asset
  
• Demonstrated experience with public sector financial applications ideally in a Hyperion Planning context and ideally related to the education or post-secondary education sectors would be an asset
  

General Skills:

• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with small teams and working directly clients.
  
• Demonstrated experience and ability to knowledge transfer and train client staff.
