PU Foam recycling is becomingmore and moreimpactful for achieving circular economy of polymers.

End Of Life foams can be recycled vianumerousroutesone of many is via depolymerization. The intern will support the research for chemically recycling PU foams her/he will conduct PU foam recycling and support the implementation of analytical technics to support the development.

We are looking for youan ambitious master student to support our R&D/TS&D Polyurethane teamby withdoing an internship project inEnd of Lifepolyurethanes: composition analysis and recycling

Primary Responsibilities:

R&D thesis internship

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of polyols by foam chemical recycling
  • Analysis of key polyol characteristics
  • Set up standard testing for volatiles
  • PU foaming
  • Investigation of lab scale process blends production
  • Documentation of theobtained results

Qualifications

  • You are currently studying for a masters degree or equivalent inchemistry industrial chemistry physics material science or similar.
  • You have a good knowledge of English.
  • Basic Knowledge of organic chemistry and polymer science.
  • You have previouslyworkin a chemistry laboratory.
  • You can work inteamyou have curiosity and initiative.
