Role Summary
The Business Intelligence Engineer owns the analytics layer. This role focuses on building trusted data models scalable dashboards and standardized reporting used across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain BI data models
- Build and optimize dashboards and reports
- Partner with data engineers to ensure clean data inputs
- Define semantic layers and metrics definitions
- Support executive and operational reporting
Requirements
BI and Reporting
- Tableau Power BI or Looker
- Semantic modeling and metric layers
Data
- Advanced SQL
- Understanding of data warehouses and schemas
Collaboration
- Ability to work with engineering and business teams
- Documentation of metrics and dashboards
Nice to Have
- DBT experience
- Performance tuning for BI tools
- Experience supporting leadership reporting
