Job Responsibilitiesfor the Dental AssistantInclude:

Preparing patients for dental work.
Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments setting up instrument trays preparing materials andassistingwith dental procedures.
Assistingdental hygienists with procedures and other tasks when necessary.
Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.

Requirementsof the Dental Assistant:

At least one (1) year of experience as a Dental AssistantORcompletion of a Dental Assisting program.
Training and/or education as a Dental Assistant.
Dental office experience preferred
MustmaintainDental Assisting License in good standing and complete the CE Credits required by state.
Radiology Certification.
CPR Certification
