About the role

The General Manager Global Betting Platform (GBP) is a senior executive leadership role with end-to-end accountability for the strategic adoption delivery and in-life success of Sportsbets Global Betting Platform. The role is accountable for driving a multiyear enterprisewide transformation program that modernises Sportsbets core betting platform while ensuring regulatory compliance operational stability and exceptional customer outcomes.

The GM GBP is aleader of leadersand a core member of the Technology Leadership Teamand Sportsbet Extended Leadership enterprise scale spanning multiyear delivery significant regulatory exposure and complex global dependencies. Decisions made by the GM GBP materiallyimpactcustomer experience revenue generation operationalresilienceand Sportsbets longterm technology strategy.

This role combines platformstrategy program leadership and organisational change accountability to ensure GBP delivers sustained business outcomesnot just a system implementationwhile embedding new ways of working capabilities and longterm platform resilience.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead GBP as a longterm transformationprogram integrating multiple delivery streams under a single outcomefocused governance model.
• Accountable for delivery cadence dependency management riskvisibilityand executivelevel reporting via artefacts such as Plan on a Page (POAP) and Workstream theProgramisproperly plannedcommunicatedandmonitoredthroughout the lifecycle.
• Work with teams and delivery streams across multiple locations ensuring ways of working areoptimisedto maximise delivery throughput.
• Commercial Analytics andreporting to assist withkeyscope/solutiondecisions. Go-to-market planningand assessingperformance post go-live.
• Own the endtoend Sportsbet Global Betting Platform strategy aligning global capabilities with local market regulatory and customer needs.
• Define andmaintainthe targetstate platform roadmap in partnership with global Flutter stakeholders defaulting to GBP capabilities while managing justified local divergence.
• Ensure platform reliability scalability security and performance in both transition and inlife operations.
• Establish clear success metrics for platform health adoption maturity and business outcomes
• Represent Sportsbet in global GBP forums influencing roadmap direction and shared platform priorities.
• Sponsor and integrate AI and automation enablement initiatives that materially accelerate GBP delivery reduceriskand improve quality.

About you:

• An accomplished Technology leader who has successfully led significant Technology initiatives and delivered transformational change.
• Proven senior leadership experience in a role leading multiple distributed teams across multiple disciplines and locations.
• Expert in leading large scale delivery outcomes spanning commercial and technical capabilities and services supporting large scale eCommerce platforms.
• Experience and proven knowledge in a range of program and delivery methodologies and approaches (DevOps Agile ITIL Lean SAFE) with expertise in methodologies used at Sportsbet.
• Excellent vendor management capabilities (including negotiation and contract management).
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills across technical commercial operational and global stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex or technical concepts succinctly to a broad range of stakeholders.
• Exposure to AI enablement strategies tools/approaches etc (preferred).
