Analyst, Tax (18 month contract)

The impact youll have:

Reporting into our ManagerTaxyou willbe responsible foraccuratecollection reporting and remittance of sales and business taxesin accordance withfiling requirements and deadlines. You will alsoassistFinancialReporting group with month-end tasks asrequiredandassistin preparation of financial information for corporate tax filings and corporate tax audits.

What youll do:

• Assistin preparation and remittance of Canadian sales tax and U.S. sales and use tax returns

• Preparation of estimated tax payment calculations

• Reconciliation of tax accounts

• Research and respond to internal sales tax related questions

• Draft response letters to sales tax notices and other correspondence

• Preparation and development of tax processes

• Maintain business license registration; report and remit business license propertytaxand recycling fees

• Assist with Canadian and U.S. sales tax audits

• Assist Financial Reporting group with month-end and quarter-end reporting responsibilities

• Prepare variance analysis on assigned SG&A accounts

• Amend tax returns/prepare sales tax refund claims

• Ad hoc projects asrequired

What youll bring to the table:

• Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance

• 1-3years experiencewith tax reconciliation/indirect tax compliance

• CPA designation preferred or final stages

• Knowledge of Canadian corporate tax an asset

• Strong research skills

• Able to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated focus on process improvement and attention to details

• Experience with Oracle ERPOnesourceIndirect Tax Determination (Sabrix) andOnesourceCompliance an asset

• Able to work extended hours during month-end quarter-end and year-end

Pay Range:

The typical pay range for this role is $62000 - $78000.

Note: the pay range represents the full pay range for this position. Each individual offer will take into consideration a range of factors including prior experience and geographic location.

In addition to the base salary this role is eligible for additional elements of compensation including (cell allowances annual bonus or commissions etc.) as well as a comprehensive benefits plan.
