ROLE SUMMARY:
The International School of Milan (ISM) part of the Inspired Education Group is seeking a dynamic responsible and enthusiasticDay Monitor to support student wellbeing supervision and engagement during the ISM Fashion Art & Design Summer Camp running from 25 June to 25 July 2026.
The Fashion Art & Design Summer Camp is a creative and educational programme for international students aged 1217 combining learning in fashion design and creation processes sustainability topics cultural experiences excursions in Milan and surrounding areas and a rich programme of afternoon and evening activities.
Based on site at ISM in Baranzate and reporting directly to the Summer Camp Deputies the Day Monitor plays a key role in ensuring students physical emotional and social wellbeing during daytime activities supporting teaching staff and contributing to the smooth daily operation of the camp. This is anon-residential role and accommodation is not provided.
Working hours are organised on a rotation basis with a flexible timetable which may be scheduled between 07:30 and 23:00 according to the camp programme and operational needs. All staff are expected to be available for arrival and departure days and to support the wider team when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent pastoral care for boarding and day students including safeguarding wellbeing and discipline.
- Ensure students follow all boarding and school procedures including sign-in/out mealtimes medication and activity routines.
- Ensure students are never left unattended including during off-site excursions.
- Collaborate closely with the Camp Director and Deputies and communicate any concerns immediately.
- Supervise students on excursions following all safety instructions and procedures.
- Support non-residential teaching staff during daytime camp activities when required.
- Run and supervise afternoon sports activities and evening entertainment as scheduled.
- Be responsible for materials used during organised activities and ensure areas are kept clean and well organised.
- Work a flexible rota including evening duties and respond to emergencies when required.
- Support first aid and health-related matters alongside the Camp Director Deputies and camp nurse.
- Support arrivals and departures of campers including welcoming families and assisting with airport transfers.
- Attend all mandatory training planning sessions and staff meetings.
- Comply with all ISM policies safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of all student family and staff information.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- English language proficiency at Advanced or Proficiency level (C1C2).
- Experience working with children or teenagers in educational recreational or camp settings.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced camp environment.
- Strong sense of responsibility and professionalism when working with minors.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and respond appropriately to incidents.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to remain calm and responsive in emergency or high-pressure situations.
- High standards of personal hygiene and professional appearance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid permission to work within Italy/EU.
- Ability to provide a valid criminal record (police background) certificate prior to the start of camp.
- Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.
- Salary: Euros 2100 gross for the full contractual period.
- Reimbursement for flight/train/transportation tickets up to a maximum of 100 (upon submission of receipts).
- Included: meals Accident insurance
- Day Off: one full day per week.
