Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
- You will be responsible for following our safety procedures to ensure the process is safe for yourself and those working around the machine.
- This is a production oriented position that requires attention to detail and ability to work in a team
- Follow safety procedures while using proper personal protective equipment machinery and tools.
- Weighing material on floor scale with a forklift. Listening to the machine run in order to troubleshoot issues.
- Recognize employee strengths and weaknesses and positioning them accordingly proactively regarding operations.
- Identify and correct inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain equipment and scheduling Performing preventative maintenance.
- Cleaning the inside outside and areas around the machine.
- Communicating with the team to ensure positive morale.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Industrial/Outdoor work
- Environment Minimum of 1 year leadership experience in a Team Environment
- Experience operating a skid steer forklift front-end loader etc.
- Good verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with team members and others.
