Job Description:
Registered Nurse Pediatrics
Who We Are:
Elliot Hospitals Womens and Childrens Services are dedicated to addressing the specific health and wellness needs of women and their children. Elliot treats more pediatric patients than any other non-teaching hospital in Northern New England and is the only Pediatric/Adolescent Center in Greater Manchester. The Pediatric/Adolescent Center has a 17 bed capacity. We care for ill and injured children year round with an average of 925 patients per year.
About the Job:
The Registered Nurse in Peds will treat individuals who may need treatment in areas of telemetry orthopedics infections respiratory diabetes GI substance exposed infants infants needing G-tubes wound care seizures pain management sickle-cell disease emergency asthma immunizations and autism.
What Youll Do:
- Embraces and promotes change to support optimal patient outcomes and an effective professional practice environment.
- Involves patient/family in goal setting and planning and communicates that plan of care to patient and family for input; and to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shifts and settings.
- Utilizes current evidence and relevant national/specialty standards to guide practice and/or performance and identifies areas for improvement.
- Demonstrates competent clinical practice utilizing clinical decision making and critical thinking skills.
Who You Are:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ASN or BSN BSN preferred)
- Current New Hampshire compact or multistate licensure as Registered Nurse required
- Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment ACLS preferred
