Responsibilities:
- Actively participates in patient care notifying the supervising Physical Therapist of matters concerning the patients condition.
- Follows the Plan of Care established by the Physical Therapist and practices within state practice guidelines.
- Exercises sound judgement care professionalism and skill in the performance of duties.
- Instructs and counsels patients effectively in exercises and recovery.
- Identifies patients needs and exhibits compassion and caring.
- Conveys potential modifications ensuring patients progress safety and comfort to the Physical Therapist.
- Completes documentation in the EMR to support the delivery of physical therapy services
- Under direct supervision of and with co-signature by a PT records daily notes.
- Provides information to patients by answering questions and requests.
- Helps treat patients by applying ice or heat packs helping patients onto exercise equipment monitoring motion; tracking walking time and distance; performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques as requested by PT.
- Educates patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations.
- Enhances physical therapy department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments is a team player.
- Reports any issues needing resolution to Physical Therapists.

Qualifications :
- PTA Licensed to practice in the State of New York

Additional Information :
The anticipated base hourly range for this position is $28-36. Salary is based on various factors including relevant experience knowledge skills other job-related qualifications and geography.
