The Sales Coordinator is responsible for qualifying and closing sales businesses together with Director of Sales across Americas market. This role also serves as the day-to-day contact for the client post-sale and will oversee the coordination of full ship charters and large corporate program in order to delivery successful onboard yacht programs and events.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts follow ups to qualified leads.
- Assists with sales presentations along with Directors of Sales.
- Creates proposals accurately reviews all sales quote & contracts.
- Act as the main point of contact for all finalized and contracted sales deals transitioning from the sales team to operations management.
- Attends department training industry networking events and client meetings.
- Assist in identifying and surpassing monthly quarterly and annual department goals.
- Collects & inputs all trip details for Charter Meeting and Incentive groups/charters and continually monitor and update as changes are made.
- Plans and coordinates customized events special onboard programming and entertainment unique food & beverage requests production requirements excursions and custom itineraries and other items that may be consistent with the parameters of the clients charter agreement.
- Creates & distributes all yacht memos and operational plans to Client and Yacht with all necessary information.
- Travel with client to conduct operations meetings host site inspections and act as corporate liaison onboard
- Ensure payments are received by agreed payment date and prior to sailing (according to terms of contract).
- Develop Marketing plans & efforts with the Marketing department and coordinate updates to all necessary assets or fleet amenity changes.
- Work with itinerary planning & destination experiences department to distribute luggage and documents for Charter/Group.
- Collaborate with Operations Department on requests to accommodate group or charterer needs.
- Develop Event Management System requirements in collaboration with IT a Hotel Operations areas
- Maintain Sales records and preferences in the Events System.
- Communicate and escalate service issues appropriately including timely follow up.
- Oversee program wrap-up process including internal documentation client feedback and financial reconciliations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education & experience
- At least 3 years of Sales Operations/Coordination. Previous experience with cruise program planning; understanding of the inner workings of cruise lines and onboard ships. Shipboard operational experiences is preferred.
- Strong customer service/people skills including diplomacy and ability to establish winning relationships with employees colleagues clients and supplier/vendors.
- Ability to use creative problem-solving skills; overcoming obstacles and challenges throughout program planning stages and implementation.
- Must be adept at multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the company.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Process oriented able to develop and refine workflow processes for maximum efficiency
- Fluent in English.
