Job Summary

What You Get to Do:

The Program Coordinator (PC) is the lead direct support professional foran assigned Supported Living PrograminOlympia WA and will be responsible providing direct support hands-on instruction assistance and positive direction to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in a manner that ensures their health safety successful achievement of service objectives and personal goals.   

This is not a supervisory role. The Program Coordinator reports directly to the Program Director. 

  • Enrich and support the lives of our residents whilemaintaininga safe and healthy environment  
  • Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care.  
  • Assistclientswith activities of daily living including dressing bathing grooming toileting and eating. 
  • Prepare meals and snacks. May include grocery shopping.  
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.  
  • Assistwith transportation needs for community outings appointments and errands 
  • Implement behavior supports and de-escalation during challenging behaviors 
  • Provide mobility and transferassistance which mayinclude usingmechanical lift devices.  
  • Administrative duties such asassistingwith schedules one-on-one training of staffdocumentationand follow-up of individual and program related issues and ensuring compliance with policies and Oregon Administrative Rules. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

What Makes You A Great Fit: 

  • 2 years of caregiver experience required(experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred) 
  • Valid drivers licenserequired 
  • Must be at least 21 years old 
  • HS Diploma or GED required 
  • Have a passion to help others through person-centered care 
  • People-oriented and have a team approach 
  • Dependable adaptableandflexible 
  • Goodcommunicationis key in this on your reading writing andcommunicationskills to document care follow support plans and collaborate with both internal and external team members. 
  • Able to attend two weeks of PAID in-house orientation and training
