Class A Leasing Agent Commercial & Retail (Investment Firm)

A well-capitalized real estate investment firm is seeking a Vice President of Leasing to lead and execute leasing strategy across a Class A commercial and retail portfolio in Irvine California. This is a senior highly visible role responsible for driving leasing performance shaping tenant mix and directly contributing to asset value creation.
The VP of Leasing will serve as the firms primary leasing authority onsite partnering closely with asset management ownership and external brokerage teams. The ideal candidate brings a strong institutional mindset deep market relationships and the ability to balance hands-on deal execution with strategic oversight.
Lead all onsite leasing activity for Class A office and retail assets owned by the firm
Own leasing transactions end-to-end including:
Broker and tenant engagement
Property tours and presentations
Deal structuring proposals and LOIs
Coordination of lease documentation through execution
Drive leasing velocity while maintaining disciplined underwriting and alignment with investment objectives
Partner closely with Asset Management and Property Management to align leasing strategy with:
Business plans
NOI growth targets
Long-term hold and disposition strategies
Provide real-time market intelligence to inform rent assumptions concessions and positioning
Influence tenant mix strategy to enhance portfolio performance and long-term value
Maintain and expand strong relationships with top-tier brokerage firms and retail tenants
Serve as the firms senior leasing representative in the local market
Support broker engagement initiatives marketing events and tenant-facing activations
Represent ownership with a high level of professionalism consistent with institutional standards
Track and report on:
Leasing pipeline activity
Market trends and competitive dynamics
Deal velocity and conversion metrics
Provide leadership with insights on market conditions tenant demand and pricing strategy
Bachelors degree required
712 years of progressive experience in commercial office and/or retail leasing
Proven experience leasing Class A assets
Prior experience working directly for or representing:
Real estate investment firms
Institutional owners
REITs or top-tier developers
Strong command of:
Commercial lease structures and negotiations
Retail tenant requirements and site selection
Broker-driven leasing environments
Executive presence with the ability to interface confidently with:
Senior brokers
Asset managers
Ownership and executive leadership
Highly organized with strong analytical communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM CoStar or property management systems a plus
Ability to work fully onsite in Irvine CA
