Job Summary
For an international automotive project in the field of Battery Management Systems (BMS) we are looking for a Senior Embedded BMS Engineer (m/f/x).
Project Context:
- Automotive OEM project focused on Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- Project duration: approx. 1215 months remaining
- Team size: 1020 Embedded BMS Software Engineers
- International collaboration: Europe & Offshore teams
- Location: Darmstadt - initial onsite presence required hybrid possible later
- Contract type: Freelancer preferred; permanent employment possible
- EUbased profiles preferred
Tasks
The role requires:
- Deep technical expertise in Battery Management Systems
- Strong capability to perform technical design and code reviews
- Ensuring system stability performance and design quality
- Acting as a senior technical counterpart for internal and offshore development teams
Requirements
- Several years of experience in embedded software development for automotive BMS
- Deep understanding of BMS software architectures
- Ability to read review and challenge embedded code
- Experience in technical leadership of software teams
- Excellent English; German is an advantage
- Willingness to work on-site in Darmstadt during the initial phase

- Pure system or hardware profiles
- Candidates without strong embedded software depth
