Qualifications:
High School Graduate college credits preferred
Acceptable experience in a related position preferred
Proficient in computer applications
Ability to communicate with administrators and staff
Initiative and creativity to work efficiently without constant supervision
Ability to plan organize and schedule work projects

Primary Purpose:
Assist in the development and maintenance of an accountable inventory system for District capital and trackable assets that complies with all TEA provisions and District capitalization policies.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create new capital and trackable asset records. Assigning appropriate categories useful lives and other required data fields.
- Coordinate with the various District departments to ensure timely identification and recording of assets including donations.
- Maintain the asset database by recording improvements adjustments transfers and retirements of assets.
- Assist in the coordination of an annual physical inventory reconciliation and reporting process for the districts capital and trackable assets.
- Provide training and assistance to the individuals performing asset management throughout the district.
- Create reports and perform data analysis to assist in the Fixed Assets operations.
- Assist in ensuring all assets recorded in the general ledger are also appropriately accounted for in the capital and trackable asset systems.
- Prepare and update the Districts asset management procedures manual.
- Annually assist the Districts independent auditors in their procedural review.
Equipment Used:
Personal computer printer copier and scanner.
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motions prolonged use of computer. District wide travel.
