MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree
Valid Arizona Elementary K-8 Teaching Certificate AND Provisional or Permanent Gifted Endorsement or willingness to pursue during the2025-2026school year.
Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Experience with communicating with school personnel students parent and the community; working with diverse populations including students with linguestic and cultural differences
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Masters Degree
3 years experience working with a Multicultural or Ethnic Studies Program
Bilingual: Spanish
Extensive background in Africana and/or Mexican American Studies Coursework
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization.
Valid Drivers license (Arizona Drivers Licenserequiredwithin 30 days of hire)
COMMENTS
Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
LOCATION: Gifted and Talented Education (G.A.T.E.)
FTE : 1.0 - 7.5 hours per day
Work Calendar:9.5 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.For more information on salary schedule please reference theEmployee Agreements Webpage.
Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
