About the Job:
Provides educational support and clinical expertise to respiratory clients. Ensures compliance with regulatory issues related to respiratory services. Assists with new respiratory services to meet changing patient populations needs. Educates the community referral sources and payers regarding services available.
What Youll Do:
- Prepares and maintains individual care plans orders and other components of the client record ensuring compliance with Joint Commission CMS and department medical record policies.
- Provides instruction to patients/caregivers regarding care treatment plans respiratory equipment and CPR as required.
- Teaches patients how to maintain their clinical care and when to report certain signs and symptoms.
- Sets up related D.M.E.P.O.S. and gives detailed instructions to the client and/or caregiver(s) in the proper and safe use of the equipment in compliance with local state federal regulation as well as Joint Commission standards.
- Assists in developing respiratory specific programs and standards of care.
- Integrates problem-solving methodology and quality improvement in approaching problem areas related to patient care and organizational processes.
- Evaluates processes related to respiratory services and ensures conformance to organization policy and procedures and governmental regulations.
- Investigates and responds to customer complaints promptly. Demonstrates commitment to the principles of outstanding customer service.
Who You Are:
Education: Graduate from a one (1) or two (2) year accredited respiratory care program and passed CRTT or RRT exam.
Experience: Two (2) years of home medical equipment and ventilator experience strongly preferred.
Certification/Licensure: National Board of Respiratory Care CRT or RRT; current State of New Hampshire Respiratory Care Practitioner License. BCLS certification required. Valid Drivers License required to travel throughout New Hampshire to provide Home Health Services.
