Kyabram District Health Service (KDHS) is a medium-sized rural health service that delivers a range of programs and services including acute subacute residential aged care and allied and primary health care services. KDHS has three campuses located in the townships of Kyabram Stanhope and Tongala.

About the Role
Patient Service Assistant position is required to maintain the Health Service environment and equipment in a clean and hygienic state transport patients through the Ward area prepare beds clean patient rooms and restock stores.
As a member of the Support Services Team the appointee will contribute to the overall performance of the team consistent with Kyabram District Health Service Purpose and Values.
Patient Service Assistant performs no nursing duties.
Key Selection Criteria
Essential:
Ability to work in a team environment with a focus on customer service.
Sound understanding of the English language.
Physical ability to undertake manual handling duties.
Ability to follow routine daily work schedules with limited supervision and working knowledge of OH&S responsibilities.
Demonstrated experience working in a similar cleaning role.
Desirable:
Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices including manual handling principles and infection control.
Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning and infection control standards applicable to a Health Service environment
Certificate III in Health Services Assistant or/equivalent an advantage
Current Driver Licence
Mandatory Employment Requirement:
Satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement and as required thereafter
Healthcare to whom the mandatory vaccination (influenza vaccination) directions apply will be required to be vaccinated annually
