Job Summary

The Category Lead Flavors & PET will be responsible for managing flavors PET HDPE LDPE and other imported raw materials for the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and execute category strategies for flavours PET and other food import raw materials.
Conduct detailed spend analysis to identify savings opportunities and optimize supplier mix for this category
Ensure competitive pricing cost transparency and value creation across this category.
Manage and nurture relationships with overseas suppliers focusing on reliability and innovation.
Conduct monthly and quarterly performance reviews with key raw material suppliers ensuring key KPIs are discussed and mitigation plans put in place for the future and escalate any potential risk to top management on timely basis.
Negotiate favourable contracts with key raw material suppliers and monitor compliance with agreed service levels and KPIs.
Identify and proactively mitigate supply chain related risks including geopolitical logistical and product quality risks by working closely with all relevant teams including logistics.
Develop contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted supply of critical raw materials required in production by proactively working closely with logistics team to ensure a seamless process from order to delivery.
Develop and execute category strategies based on market analysis and spend data and align with company goals budget and operational requirements.
Take a proactive role in ensuring that raw materials are planned sourced shipped and delivered on time.
Evaluate supplier proposals negotiate pricing rebates service fees and other contractual terms.
Work with suppliers and finance department to validate payments rebates credit terms and resolve any payment issue promptly.
Collaborate with Operations to evaluate and approve new products.
Perform any other adhoc assignments requests by Management.

Requirements

B.A. required/Masters preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Professional certification and membership to a reputable procurement and supplies body is highly desirable.
Knowledge of SAP and any other related procurement package.
A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role in a busy environment.
