About the Part Time Bilingual Early Childhood Educator Role:

Home of Guiding Hands is hiring an Early Childhood Educator to support children ages 03 with developmental delays or disabilities in their this role youll help children reach key developmental milestones while partnering closely with families in a supportive mission-driven environment.

What Youll Be Doing: Tasks Duties and Responsibilities

Client Intake & Assessment

  • Review referral materials collateral and intake information.

  • Complete intake paperwork assessments and written reports with children and their families.

Individualized Program Planning

  • Develop each childs Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) using the assigned curriculum.

  • Identify goals and strategies tailored to each child and familys needs.

Service Delivery & Home Visits

  • Schedule plan and conduct in-home sessions to support IFSP goals.

  • Provide services in family homes and other approved community locations.

Family & Team Collaboration

  • Maintain ongoing communication with families and members of the Early Start team.

  • Coordinate services to ensure continuity of care and goal alignment.

Documentation & Records Management

  • Prepare collect and maintain case notes educational records and required documentation.

  • Manage files and reports from outside agencies in compliance with program requirements.

Family Support & Resources

  • Research services and resources based on family needs.

  • Provide families with educational materials and community resource referrals.

Travel

  • Travel throughout the assigned countyto deliver services.



Qualifications

What Youll Bring to the Role: Knowledge Skills and Education

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree with a Teaching Permit or Credential.

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children with developmental delays or disabilities (experience with ages 03 preferred).

  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.

  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative family-centered approach.

  • Detail-oriented organized and able to manage time effectively with minimal supervision.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • Successful DOJ background clearance required.

  • Valid California Drivers License safe driving record and reliable vehicle with current auto insurance.

  • CPR/First Aid certification required (training provided if needed).

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

The work environment for this position involves working with a variety of people in their homes and in the community. While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to see talk hear walk bend stoop sit stand reach and lift objects weighing up to ten pounds repeatedly during a shift.
