Job Description Summary
Team lead for outpatient OT/SLP/ PT clinic in Mount Pleasant SC. With limited supervision the Rehab Team Leader works in collaboration and reports directly to the Rehab Manager. The Rehab Team Leader is responsible for continuous staff supervision operations management emergency response and coordination. This position provides recommendations regarding policies and procedures guidelines educational materials evidence-based practice process and quality improvement initiatives as required. The Team Leader assists the Rehab Manager and Director with the orientation scheduling development performance feedback and disciplinary process for care team members. Acts as a patient family interdisciplinary resource to addresses concerns supports problem resolution and oversees care. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care for their respective teams throughout the medical center. Weekends and holidays as scheduled required. Job Description
Evaluates and treats patients recovering from injury disease surgery or other ailments. Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods including exercises stretching maneuvers hands-on therapy and equipment to ease patients pain and help them recover. Works cooperatively with physicians case managers and insurance adjusters. Documents and reports on patients progress. May supervise physical therapy assistants aides and athletic trainers.Additional Job Description
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Program and 4 or more years of experience as a physical therapist. Current licensure by the South Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Current MUSC Level III therapist or previous leadership experience in required; experience in a Level 1 Trauma center preferred. Work and/or educational experience centered on promoting group/team working relations is preferred. Knowledge of the departments patient population health care trends community and regional resources and service availability to these populations. Demonstrated ability to role model and establish effective collegial working relationships and communications with diverse groups and individuals medical staff and other healthcare disciplines. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong time management project management technical critical thinking and clinical skills are required. Knowledge of regulatory requirements preferred. Licensed in the state of South Carolina to practice Physical Therapy .Active Physical Therapist Licensure. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
