We are seeking a highly skilled Uiua Expert to support the design development optimization and maintenance of software systems leveraging the Uiua programming language. This role requires deep expertise in array-oriented and functional programming paradigms strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to apply Uiua effectively to real-world computational challenges.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineering research and data teams to develop efficient maintainable and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain software solutions using the Uiua programming language
Apply array-oriented and functional programming concepts to complex computational problems
Optimize performance readability and maintainability of Uiua-based codebases
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and solution approaches
Translate business research or analytical requirements into efficient Uiua implementations
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
Document system designs algorithms and implementation details clearly and thoroughly
Troubleshoot debug and resolve technical issues in Uiua-based systems
Stay current with developments in Uiua array languages and related programming methodologies
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Mathematics or a related field
3 years of experience in advanced programming roles with demonstrated expertise in Uiua
Strong understanding of array programming functional programming and point-free coding styles
Experience working with mathematical data-processing or algorithm-heavy applications
Proficiency in problem decomposition and abstract thinking
Excellent analytical documentation and communication skills
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science Applied Mathematics or a related discipline
Experience with other array or functional languages (e.g. APL J BQN Haskell)
Background in scientific computing data analysis or research-oriented development
Open-source contribution experience particularly related to Uiua or similar languages
Compensation:
Annual Salary Range: $115000 $155000 USD based on experience technical depth and geographic location
