Position Overview
Northwest Talent Solutions (NWTS) is partnering with a leading global manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Reliability Engineer to support enterprise-wide Reliability Excellence Systems across rolling mills and extrusion plants.
This role is not a maintenance position. It is a reliability engineering role focused on standardization coaching systems implementation and cultural transformation related to equipment reliability asset performance and operational excellence across multiple sites.
The ideal candidate brings a strong engineering foundation hands-on reliability expertise and the ability to influence and drive change in asset-intensive manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities

Drive coach and implement Reliability Excellence systems across multiple manufacturing plants

Develop and standardize equipment reliability system components including:
-
Defect Elimination
-
Criticality Analysis
-
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
-
Condition-Based Monitoring
-
Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
-
CMMS optimization and asset hierarchy development
-
Champion a culture of reliability ownership across operations and maintenance teams
-
Identify and communicate opportunities to improve OEE uptime and productivity
-
Partner with Manufacturing Technology Engineering Operations Maintenance IT and Finance to drive sustainable reliability improvements
-
Support business units and plant leadership as a subject-matter expert in reliability engineering
-
Facilitate and lead cross-functional improvement teams in manufacturing environments
-
Analyze visualize and report reliability and asset performance data to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelors degree in Reliability Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
-
5 years of experience in reliability engineering equipment reliability or engineering roles within manufacturing
-
Demonstrated experience implementing reliability systems (not maintenance execution only)
-
Strong understanding of failure modes asset criticality and reliability methodologies
-
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and business communication
-
Excellent interpersonal communication and facilitation skills
-
Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% between manufacturing sites
-
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
-
Ability to meet export control compliance requirements where applicable
Preferred / Exceptional Qualifications
-
Experience in rolling mills extrusion plants or metals manufacturing
-
Hands-on experience with:

FMEA
-
RCM
-
Defect Elimination programs
-
Equipment asset hierarchies
-
CMMS implementation or optimization
-
Certification such as CRE (Certified Reliability Engineer) or CMRP
-
Experience leading reliability initiatives across multiple sites
-
Strong data analysis visualization and reporting capability
-
Proven ability to influence without direct authority
Work Environment
This role is 100% on-site and requires frequent travel to manufacturing locations. The position operates in asset-intensive safety-critical environments and partners closely with plant leadership engineering and maintenance teams.
