Employment Type: Full-time Maximum-term (until 30 June 2027)
Salary: $125000 to $135000 (depending on experience) super NFP Salary Packaging (living expenses plus meals & accommodation)

VACCHO is the peak representative for the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria.
We have 34 member Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations providing support to over 78000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the state. We lead and support Aboriginal Community Control and the broader health and social services sector to deliver transformative health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal communities in are a centre of expertise policy advice training innovation and leadership in Aboriginal health and wed love you to join us!

About the role
The Executive Manager Healthy Communities plays a key role in the Population Health Unit at VACCHO. Leading a team of six your strategic vision and creative thinking along with your ability to share your Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural knowledge will help you and your team to deliver VACCHOs statewide program of initiatives. These programs raise awareness of healthy lifestyles across the various life stages and supports Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) to provide this information into Community.
Our programs are varied and include establishing a Community of Practice for ACCOs involved in kitchen gardens cooking lessons and supporting Food Sovereignty managing the development of a statewide Advanced Care Plan embedding culture and increasing awareness and choices around Journey to the Dreaming and provision of culturally safe palliative care. This role enables you to contribute to making a real difference within and for Community.
