We are hiring foran innovative and fast-paced manufacturing company in Ballymena who are seeking a part-qualified Assistant Management Accountant to support the finance team. The Role:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and departmental reports
- Help establish and update standard costs for both internal services and products sold externally
- Analysecosts and assess rates used in costings and overhead assessments
- Perform variance analysis of actual versus standard costs including gross margin contributions
- Prepare monthly inventory reports and assist with balance sheet reconciliations
- Support sales and purchasing activities ensuring accurate intercompany reconciliations
- Assist with year-end audit preparations and liaise with external auditors
- Provide financial support across departments contributing to process improvements
- Undertake ad-hoc duties as required
The Person What Were Looking For
- 23 years experience in a similar finance role preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Part-qualified CIMA ACCA or ACA (or equivalent) with a strong desire to complete studies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SAGE 500 or similar financial software is desirable
- Strong understanding of costing processes and financial reporting
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment prioritising competing deadlines
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams
