We are looking for two IT/Cybersecuritystudents to join the ATCO AI & Automation Team. Work term starts inMay2026for8 or 12-monthperiod in Edmonton.

The AI & Automation Coop Student will support the development testing and implementation of automation and AI solutions within the AI and Automation team. The role involves handson development work using tools such as Power Automate UiPath Azure AI Microsoft Copilot and Google AI/Gemini. The student will begin with smaller tasks and progressively take on more complex assignments as skills and experience grow.

Who you are:

• Mustbe enrolled in aco-op (or internship) program at a recognized Canadian university.
• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science or closely related program.

Technical Skills:

• Strong programming fundamentals.
• Experience with Python.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. Microsoft Azure Google Cloud).
• Exposure to or interest in AI automation and workflow technologies.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problemsolving abilities.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to take initiative and adapt to new challenges.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

What you will do:

• Develop automation workflows using Power Automate and UiPath.
• Build AIenabled solutions including RetrievalAugmented Generation (RAG) components.
• Test debug and refine automation and AI workflows.
• Assist with analysis troubleshooting and documentation activities.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement automation and AI capabilities.
• Learn and apply new tools technologies and cloud services throughout the work term.
