An RN position in the Inpatient Adult Unit at Gillette Childrens involves providing specialized care to teens and adults (age 18 through age 40) with conditions that originated in childhood and require lifelong management. Nurses in this unit deliver compassionate patient-centered care working with a multidisciplinary team to address the unique medical and developmental needs of these individuals. The RN plays a critical role in managing complex chronic conditions supporting patients and families and ensuring continuity of care as patients transition from pediatric to adult-focused healthcare. This position requires strong clinical expertise collaboration and a deep commitment to long-term patient care.
Compensation & Benefits Information
The hourly wage for this opportunity is $41.22-$70.45. Pay is dependent on several factors including number of hours worked within the field education and certification/licensure: $1.75weekend/ $2.35 evening/ $4.00 night differential is available for this position. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees. Qualifications
Required
- Documentation of completion of professional nursing program (RN program)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license through the MN Board of Nursing
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (exception: Telehealth RNs). If candidate holds valid CPR for through another acceptable organization (as determined by Gillette) candidate may be able to begin employment but must complete Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association within one month of employment.
- Must be interested in working with people with short term or long-term disabilities that begin in childhood.
- Physically able to work hours required and meet physical demands of the certain departments this will include being part of the off-premises call schedule.
Preferred
- Bachelors degree in nursing or other healthcare related field
- Prior nursing experience in a health-related setting
- Nursing Specialty Certification relevant to the position.
