Job Description:
This person provides all1stMortgage LoanProcessing support for the MortgageLoanOfficerscustomersand 3rdparty providers toensurean exceptionalcustomer experience for all mortgage loan customers of First Bank & Trust.
Qualifications:This person should haveabachelors degree plus three yearsof prior job-related experience orthe equivalent.Good communicationskills andthe ability to interact with customersrealtorsand other professionalsare required.This person must beexperiencedwith mortgage lending conceptspracticesand procedures.
PrincipalResponsibilities:
Prepare and process all mortgage loan documentation from origination toloan approvalaccording to established procedures.Identifyappropriate documentationneeds and requirementsfor all types of loans.Review residential loan applicationsto verify that all data is complete and meetsestablishedstandards including the loan type and purposeborrowerassets liabilitiescreditand employment.
Monitora large pipeline of files atdifferent stagesof themortgageprocesstoensure deadlines are met continually follow up on documentation to ensure theappropriate informationhas been requested and is received within the allottedtimeframesto meet the expected closing dates.
Have a strong working knowledge ofFHA VARural DevelopmentPrivateMortgage Insuranceand investordifferencesguidelinesand processes.
Provideexceptionalcustomer service while interacting with customers realtors 3rdparty serviceprovidersand co-workers.
Have a strongunderstanding ofall mortgage regulations including but not limitedFairLending TRID RESPA Reg Z and Reg B.
Responsible forconfidentiallyhandlingallnon-public information.
Ability to interactprofessionallyand knowledgeablywith mortgage customers to obtain information from the borrower or to seek clarification about documents received during theloanprocess.Including contacts with 3rdparty providers to obtainto obtaintitle commitmentproperty abstract surveyappraisaland insurance information
Accurately review loan documentation and complete the HMDA data screens needed toinsurecompliance with expected data fields related to loan processors.
Coordinate loan closing with the borrowerTitleCompanyand realtor if applicable.
Ensuring allloans are clear to closeprior tohandingoff to the closing department.
Must be able and willing toanswer questions andassistother members of the processing teamincludingproviding trainingcovering forabsences and volume relief as needed.
Attendall team meetings and training seminars asdeemedappropriate bythe supervisor.
Actin accordance withFBTpolicies and procedures asset forth inthe employee handbook.
Adhere to compliance procedures andparticipatein required compliance training.
