Job Summary
The Headhunter Group is looking for a Finance Manager on behalf of a rapidly scaling international healthtech and biotech platform. The organization combines venture building with an active investment management strategy and operates across Europe and North America. From its Amsterdam headquarters the team manages multiple investment vehicles focused on early- to growth-stage ventures.
The Role
The Finance Manager holds a central position within the finance function and ensures the smooth day-to-day running of financial operations. Acting as the key link between operational finance and senior leadership you will work closely with the CFO and Head of Finance while coordinating and reviewing the work of the in-house Bookkeeper / Financial Administrator.
The role combines hands-on execution with oversight analysis and process ownership making it well-suited for a finance professional who enjoys responsibility complexity and high-quality delivery in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
As Finance Manager you will be responsible for:
- Leading daily financial operations across multiple legal entities
- Reviewing and monitoring accounting activities such as payables receivables bank reconciliations intercompany bookings and fixed assets
- Managing the month-end close cycle including accruals provisions and necessary adjustments
- Preparing and reviewing management reports financial overviews and variance analyses for senior leadership
Additionally you will:
- Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Contribute to budgeting forecasting and multi-year financial planning
- Develop structured Excel and PowerPoint materials for internal and external stakeholders
- Support and guide junior finance colleagues ensuring clarity quality and consistency across outputs
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- A background in high-performance finance environments such as Big 4 advisory transaction services consulting or audit
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting reporting and control frameworks
- A structured detail-oriented mindset combined with a pragmatic hands-on approach
- The confidence to interact with senior stakeholders and external service providers
- Dutch language skills are considered an advantage
