Job Summary

Sunshine Coast School District has an opening for a temporary part-time Late Intermediate/Graduate Automotive and Metal 10-12 teacher. This 0.500 F.T.E. position is for the second semester with the ability for qualified teachers to post into future positions or to join the TOC list after the posted assignment has ended. There is also the potential to post into other positions if available to increase the FTE.

The position is effective immediately to June 30 2026.

PLEASE NOTE: Teaching Certification would be considered an asset but may not be required. A valid Red Seal in either Automotive or Welding would be required if the successful applicant does not have Tech and/or Trades Education or a valid TRB certificate.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have experience and coursework. Evidence of the successful application of instructional and professional skills (as per Article E.27.3 of the collective agreement) must be provided. Please note that the position requires training in Tech and/or Trades Education and/or Red Seal Certification but as noted above may not be salary for qualified teachers is between $59711 and $109520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
