Job Description
As a Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Engineer you will support energy network expansion and reinforcement projects across the Netherlands and internationally. Working within a multidisciplinary team youll be responsible for delivering technical solutions for substations cables and overhead line connections from concept through execution.
Your role will combine engineering design with project coordination and you will act as a key liaison between clients CAD engineers and external partners to ensure safe efficient and cost-effective project outcomes.
You will be part of the Energy Transition unit which helps clients accelerate sustainable infrastructure projects across energy water and raw material systems. This team brings together creativity technical excellence and global experience to drive meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop electrical engineering deliverables and oversee project execution
Liaise with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Design safe efficient and cost-effective T&D solutions for substations and grid connections
Conduct feasibility studies simulations and prepare technical documentation
Collaborate with internal teams and external specialists on design and construction activities
Contribute to project planning budgeting and scheduling
Support knowledge sharing and in senior roles mentor junior engineers
Requirements:
BSc/MSc/PhD in Electrical or Power Engineering or equivalent experience
3 years experience in T&D engineering (5 years for Lead Engineer level)
Knowledge of HV/MV substations equipment specifications and relevant standards (e.g. DNV IEC)
Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD Revit Elcad Primtech PSCAD (preferred)
Strong communication skills and ability to work in diverse international teams
Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are an advantage
Willingness to travel and occasionally work offshore
