About the role

The AI Engineer is responsible for designing implementing and maintaining AIdriven systems that enhance Sigma Groups global event experiences including major iGaming events. This role focuses on building intelligent features integrating AI tooling across teams and enabling the organisation to leverage artificial intelligence for improved customer engagement operational efficiency and product innovation.

The ideal candidate blends strong software engineering skills with deep knowledge of AI/ML technologies automation and datadriven problemsolving. They will play a key role in shaping the companys AI strategy and delivering AIpowered products and services.

Key Responsibilities

AI System Development & Integration

• Designs builds and deploys AIpowered features across event platforms mobile apps exhibitor tools and iGamingrelated systems.
• Implements AI models for use cases such as:
  • personalised event recommendations
  • predictive attendee behaviour
  • automated content generation
  • intelligent matchmaking between attendees and exhibitors
  • realtime event insights and anomaly detection
• Integrates AI capabilities into existing systems using APIs cloud services and custom pipelines.

AI Tooling & Automation

• Introduces AIassisted tools to improve productivity across engineering marketing operations and customer support.
• Implements automation solutions such as:
  • AIdriven workflow optimisation
  • automated tagging summarisation and content enhancement
  • intelligent customer support chatbots
  • AIassisted QA and testing tools
• Evaluates emerging AI platforms and tools to ensure the organisation stays ahead of industry trends.

Data Preparation & Model Support

• Collaborates with data engineers and data scientists to prepare datasets for training validation and inference.
• Builds and maintains pipelines that support realtime and batch AI workloads.
• Ensures data quality consistency and compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements.

Events & iGaming AI Applications

• Develops AI solutions tailored to the unique dynamics of live events and iGaming audiences.
• Supports realtime inference systems capable of handling hightraffic spikes during major events.
• Builds AI features that enhance attendee engagement exhibitor value and partner insights.

Security Compliance & Responsible AI

• Ensures AI systems follow responsibleAI principles including fairness transparency and explainability.
• Implements securebydesign practices for all AI components.
• Ensures compliance with dataprivacy regulations and responsiblegaming requirements where applicable.

Collaboration & CrossFunctional Support

• Works closely with product managers designers engineers and event teams to translate business needs into AIpowered solutions.
• Communicates technical concepts clearly to nontechnical stakeholders.
• Supports internal teams in adopting AI tools and understanding AIdriven insights.

Qualifications

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong proficiency in Python and AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow PyTorch Scikitlearn)
• Experience with cloudbased AI platforms and APIs
• Understanding of data engineering distributed systems and realtime processing
• Familiarity with AIassisted development tools and emerging AI technologies
• Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams
• Experience with eventdriven or iGaming data is a plus

Preferred Experience

• Educated to degree level in a numerate or technical discipline Masters preferred.
• 5-7 years of technical experience in AI engineering machine learning software engineering or related fields
• 1-2 years of management or mentorship experience such as leading AI projects or guiding junior engineers
• Proven track record of delivering AIpowered features or automation solutions
• Experience working with event data digital engagement metrics or iGaming systems
• Background in deploying AI models into production environments
• Experience with MLOps CI/CD for AI and scalable cloud architectures
