Your Role
As our Assistant Director youll work hand-in-hand with the Center Director to ensure that each day runs smoothly staff feel supported and families feel connected. Youll play a key leadership role in maintaining quality compliance and community spirit.
You will:
Support daily center operations including staffing scheduling and enrollment
Coach and mentor teachers through observations feedback and classroom support
Help ensure Montessori principles and MSDE/OCC standards are met
Build positive relationships with families through open communication
Lead family engagement events tours and community activities
Manage records and assist with compliance documentation
Step into the Directors role when needed to ensure a safe seamless environment
Support onboarding professional growth and staff development
Qualifications
MSDE Lead Staff qualification required
Bachelors or Associate degree in Early Childhood EducationOR
90-hour Preschool Certification 45-hour Director/Admin Course 3 years of experience
CPR/First Aid Basic Health & Safety and 9-Hour Communication Course
Background check and medical clearance required
Leadership or administrative experience in licensed child care preferred
Familiarity with the Montessori approach a plus!
