About the Role
Lutheran Social Services is seeking a Part-Time Human Service Specialistto support our Community Transition Team in the Eau Claire area. Due to contractual requirements only male applicantsare eligible for this position.
This role is ideal for students or earlyâcareer professionals interested in criminal justice human services or community-based support work.
Primary Responsibilities
Administer and observe urinalysis breathalyzer tests oral fluid swabs and sweat patch testing
Provide services aligned with each clients service plan
Participate in recovery teams and provide feedback on client progress
Assist with medication monitoring(non-prescriber tasks such as delivery education and compliance support)
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with LSS regulatory and payer standards
Collaborate with clients service teams and supervisors to determine effective interventions
Maintain client records and make recommendations within scope of practice
Attend client meetings staff development sessions and clinical supervision
Testify in legal proceedings when required
Work a flexible schedule based on client needs including occasional evenings or weekends
Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or GED
Valid drivers license reliable transportation and ability to meet LSS driving/insurance requirements
Ability to complete required background caregiver medical and program-specific checks
Ability to read write and document services clearly and accurately
Basic computer proficiency including electronic health records and email
Preferred:
Skills & Competencies
Strong interpersonal communication
Ability to maintain professionalism in crisis situations including verbal aggression
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Comfort working in community settings including homes offices and outdoor environments
Ability to navigate changing software and technology systems
Physical Requirements
Frequent bending stooping kneeling and stair climbing
Ability to travel daily within the community; occasional overnight travel may be required
Moderate noise environment; exposure to outdoor conditions during travel
