At our Meriden CT site youll be part of the BioProduction Group within the Filtration and Separation Division. Our teams provide specialized filtration solutions across bioprocessing industrial manufacturing and commercial water applications supporting customers whose work directly impacts public health and well-being.
As a Warehouse Supervisor you will oversee daily warehouse operations supporting manufacturing and customer fulfillment. This role combines hands-on supervision with analytical problem-solving and process improvement. You will be responsible for inventory accuracy material flow and operational execution while partnering closely with production planning procurement and shipping teams.
Using Lean principles and Thermo Fishers Practical Process Improvement (PPI) system you will support continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with safety quality and regulatory requirements applicable to our products and operations.
Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff including scheduling training and daily work assignments
Oversee receiving storage picking packing and shipping activities to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting audits and reconciliation of discrepancies
Ensure compliance with safety regulations company policies and standard operating procedures
Implement and sustain warehouse best practices to support safe efficient and compliant operations
Collaborate with cross-functional partners including production planning procurement and shipping to support operational needs
Identify evaluate and implement process improvements to improve efficiency inventory flow and space utilization
Prepare analyze and maintain operational reports related to inventory levels productivity and count variances
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies order shortages overbuilds and aged finished goods
Support warehouse layout improvements location organization and material flow optimization initiatives
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelors degree in logistics supply chain business engineering or a related field preferred
Equivalency: Equivalent combinations of education training and relevant work experience may be considered.
3 years of experience in a warehouse manufacturing or industrial operations environment
1 years of experience in a lead coordinator or supervisory role
Experience managing inventory accuracy including cycle counting programs and discrepancy resolution
Experience working with lot-controlled inventory and order fulfillment processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables lookup formulas and data filtering
Experience preparing or analyzing operational reports related to inventory productivity shortages or variances
Experience implementing process improvements or continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. Lean standard work)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand walk bend and work on the warehouse floor for extended periods
Ability to work in ambient and temperature-controlled environments
Ability to communicate effectively with hourly employees supervisors and cross-functional partners
Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
Ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of workplace safety and compliance requirements in an industrial or warehouse environment
Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and shipping regulations applicable to manufacturing or laboratory materials
Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $79100.00$118700.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
