Job Description:
Position Summary: 40 hr/wk M F 8 am 430 pm.
Start and end times may be flexible based on schedule. The Psychometrist will play a crucial role in administering neuropsychological tests and assisting with the assessment of patients cognitive emotional and behavioral functioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer written and computer-based neuropsychological tests to individuals across various age groups under the supervision of licensed neuropsychologists.
- Prepare and maintain testing materials ensuring all assessments are completed accurately and in compliance with ethical guidelines.
- Record test results and observations ensuring accuracy and proper documentation of patient information.
- Providing a summary of behavioral observations for review by the neuropsychologist.
- Provide a supportive and comfortable environment for patients before during and after assessments.
- Collaborate with neuropsychologists clinicians and other staff members to coordinate patient care and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and always maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Manages the scanning of test protocols into secure database.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Licensure
- Bachelors degree in psychology neuroscience or closely related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Experience working with adult or geriatric populations preferred.
- Training and/or previous experience in neuropsychological testing preferred.
- Knowledge of neurodevelopmental cognitive or psychiatric disorders preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office and electronic health records preferred. Epic experience preferred.
