Cert Nurse Assistant Outpatient

• Assist nursing staff and physicians with direct and indirect patient care before during and after surgical procedures

• Prepare patients for surgery by escorting them to procedure areas helping with gowning positioning and comfort measures

• Measure and document vital signs (blood pressure pulse respirations temperature oxygen saturation) as directed

• Assist with patient mobility including transfers to and from stretchers wheelchairs and beds using proper safety techniques

• Support post-operative care by monitoring patients responding to call lights reporting changes in condition and assisting with discharge activities

• Maintain a clean organized and sterile environment by cleaning procedure rooms restocking supplies and disposing of waste according to infection control standards

• Set up and break down procedure rooms ensuring required equipment and supplies are available and functioning

• Transport patients specimens and equipment safely throughout the surgery center

• Assist with basic clinical tasks such as applying dressings ice packs compression devices or other non-invasive treatments as directed

• Follow all safety privacy (HIPAA) and infection prevention policies and procedures

• Communicate effectively with patients families and the healthcare team to support patient comfort and workflow efficiency

• Document care activities accurately in the medical record as required

• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations within the scope of training

• Support quality improvement initiatives and comply with regulatory and accreditation standards
