Summary of Position
The Regional Vice President (RVP) Sales is responsible for driving and directing the sales function of all specialties and services in an assigned region including developing and executing regional sales strategy while building and managing a team to meet and exceed regional revenue goals. Coordinates all aspects of the direct sales and client relations support function to clients in assigned region.

- Develops the team sales strategies and tactical objectives to support the overall sales and profitability goals enabling team to prioritize and execute the defined targets and established metrics; providing necessary guidance and feedback on individual performance.
- Builds develops and retains a team of highly talented sales professionals with proven ability to meet/exceed all targets and assigned metrics. Coordinates with Vice President of Sales and Human Resources on talent acquisition and management.
- Ensures talent acquisition management training and coaching for productivity is in alignment with the standard sales competencies: Communication Drive for Results Customer/Marketplace Focus Motivational Fit Strategic Selling Resource Utilization.
- Creates a results-driven client focused/solutions-oriented environment which holds every teammate accountable for delivering individual and organizational results.
- Executes on a sales plan which grows the level of overall profitable revenue year to year while exceeding annual targets.
- Builds a sales team that exemplifies a disciplined strategy and takes advantage of the companys resources in relation to programs and reporting tools used to increase sales opportunities identify trends patterns and makes recommendations on areas of improvement.
- Establishes senior-level relationships within key accounts; provides meeting and trade show support as required.
- Provides regular visibility for leadership and the team on industry trends best practices and competitive insights.
- Builds and fosters strong cross-functional internal relationships to facilitate efficient processes for product development pipeline management compensation plans sales reporting and revenue forecasting.
- Maintains accurate and timely communication with the Vice President of Sales regarding all relevant regional information regarding revenue and advertiser relationships.
- Utilizes understanding of and experience discussing the healthcare payer environment and its impact of physicians and ancillary providers.
- Provides necessary and appropriate post-sales service to accounts utilizing each opportunity to discover and pursue additional business.
- Establishes and maintains open lines of communication with key personnel in assigned accounts as related to support ongoing issues (i.e. installations upgrades persistent problems).
- Manages individual and team compliance in regard to necessary paperwork including travel itineraries trip reports activity reports monthly reports Lighthouse report expense and service reports including direct report Sales Directors as required accurately and in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates Core level knowledge of anatomical pathology technology solutions and competitive strategies with company resources on-the-job training in-house literature marketing material and sales brochures.
QualificationsKnowledge / Experience
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university is required. MBA or MHA preferred.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of successful sales experience (both product and service) in broad leadership posts.
- Minimum of three (3) years of regional/national sales management experience (diagnostics/pathology experience preferred).
- Up to 60% travel (generally at least three (3) days a week dedicated to field visits) and occasional weekend travel may be required.
- Possess high degree of understanding the client relationship with Physicians their needs and how we can provide service and technology solutions for their pathology needs.
- Collaborative and engaging approach to working with internal and external partners.
- Demonstrated decision-making ability towards solving problems while working under pressure and effectively communicating these solutions to co-workers and customers.
- General understanding of business acumen and practices.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
- Ensure procedures and processes are in place that lead to delivery of quality results and continually reassess their effectiveness to achieve continuous improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization in order to achieve the dsired results.
- Commitment to the successful achievement of team and organizational goals through a desire to participate with and help other members of the team.
- Demonstrate a focus on listening to and understanding client/customer needs and them delighting the client/customer by exceeding service and quality expectations.
