Job Summary

Were seeking an energetic and organized Event Coordinator / Event Manager to elevate our onsite experiences ensuring every gathering aligns with our ethos of calm intention high-quality service and desert-inspired vibe. This role is hands-on requiring a problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment and can seamlessly blend professionalism with approachability.

This is a full-time on-site non-exempt position that reports to the Director of Sales. The pay range for this position is $25-$28/hour.

Reset Hotel Joshua Tree is a serene design-forward retreat spanning 180 acres just outside Joshua Tree National Park in Twentynine Palms California. As a wellness-focused boutique hotel emphasizing minimalism nature and connection we offer guests a space for rest reflection and inspired gatheringswhether through corporate retreats wellness escapes or intimate events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage onsite events including corporate retreats weddings yoga and wellness retreats group buyouts and other gatherings overseeing logistics from setup to execution to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Curate and maintain the overall vibe around the clubhouse and common areas including selecting appropriate music monitoring guest happiness and ensuring the space always looks polished and inviting.
  • Plan and set up onsite programming particularly on weekends such as DJ sessions special events yoga classes and other activities that enhance the guest experience.
  • Collaborate with local catering companies and establish partnerships with vendors for excursions and services like rock climbing masseuses horseback rides and more negotiating terms and ensuring high-quality integrations.
  • Oversee the setup of guest packages coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to guarantee seamless smooth interactions that reflect Resets commitment to effortless luxury and wellness.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in event coordination or management preferably in hospitality retreats or wellness settings.
  • Strong social skills with comfort in engaging diverse groups from casual guests to corporate leaders.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interface effectively with retreat leaders vendors and team members.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality that brings positivity to events and daily operations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with strong discernment for quality and the agency to make independent decisions that align with Resets standards.
  • Familiarity with the Joshua Tree area and local vendors is a plus; knowledge of wellness trends and sustainable practices preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as events dictate.
  • Bachelors degree in hospitality event management or a related field is preferred but not required.
