Your role
As the Digital Editor for ICI Jeunesse (Kids & Youth) section you will lead publishing and curation efforts for kids/youth content and digital channels on the ICI streaming platform. Your primary goal is to align digital offerings with programming priorities while continuously optimizing the user experience for our younger audiences.
Responsibilities:
1. Content Publishing and Management:
Manage media file workflows for digital channel playout.
Oversee the full life cycle of on-demand content including publishing updates and removals.
Handle metadata visual assets and master files to ensure seamless automated transcoding.
Ensure strict adherence to broadcasting rights delivery timelines and internal business rules.
Maintain meticulous quality control standards for all published material.
2. Content Curation and Amplification:
Continually monitor competitor digital platforms offering kids/youth content.
Curate and feature kids/youth content and digital channels on the ICI home page and in the Jeunesse section to drive engagement.
Implement SEO best practices and indexing strategies to maximize the reach of Jeunesse section content and digital channels.
Assist teams with data analysis for Jeunesse segments (traffic user behaviour and consumption patterns) to optimize publishing refine curation strategies and improve performance reporting.
3. Collaboration:
Work closely with Kids & Youth TV teams to ensure seamless alignment between linear and digital programming.
Co-ordinate actions with all internal stakeholders (ICI team Kids & Youth Programming Acquisitions Research Technical Post-Production and Communications).
This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.
What You Bring:
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent
Two (2) years relevant experience
Technical skills:
Excellent command of spoken and written French; working knowledge of English
Proficiency with content management systems (CMSs) and Google Workspace (Sheets Docs)
Knowledge of digital media production tools (basic photo and video editing skills)
Experience with specialized tools such as iNews SynPS Medianet Scoop Picto Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve is an asset
Professional skills:
Attention to detail particularly regarding data entry and workflow tracking
Passion for kids content and industry trends
Ability to manage competing priorities and handle stress within a fast-moving environment
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
Proactive mindset and ability to make sound editorial decisions
