Job:Meat PrepOperator
Shift: Nights
Location: Royal Canin (North Sioux City SD)

Key Responsibilities
Safety
Understand and apply the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for safe operation.
Identifyandlocateall electrical disconnects and emergency stops in the area.
Demonstrate proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures for equipment safety.
Respond to emergencies by knowing the locations of fire pull stations extinguishers and emergency exits.
Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Maintenance
Inspect equipment for damage or wear and report issues promptly.
Follow the Problem and Time-Based Escalation processes.
Understand and apply the importance of the Continuous Improvement Loop (CIL) process.
Operation
Read and interpret production schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Utilize tools such as TPI andiTrackfor tracking and managing inventory.
Identifyingredients and ensure they are approved for use.
Control and track inventory using First In First Out (FIFO) methods.
Maintainaccuratemeasurements of ingredients and complete weekly inventory checks.
Sanitation
FollowadditionalPPE requirements during sanitation processes.
Demonstrate and explain weekly sanitation procedures tomaintaincleanliness and safety.
Key Functional Skills/Knowledge:
Good knowledge of production processes Good Manufacturing Practices and other Food Safety and Regulatory Standards.
General understanding of Start Up Operation Shut Down & Cleaning equipment
The ability toassistand troubleshoot equipment.
The ability toassistwith quality checks and document results using a database collection system using a computer orIPad.
Food Manufacturing experience
Knowledge or Familiar with Nexus
Familiar with the MSDS database
Knowledge of Near Miss Reporting
Familiar with Adams Bradley Systems or other displays
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
1 years of manufacturing experience.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to quickly respond.
Ability to stand forlong periodsof time on hard surfaces
Computer /IPadliterate with the ability to enter recordmaintain and retrieve data.
