Job Description

Position Highlights:

  • Location: High Point NC / Winston Salem NC

  • PRN

What Youll Need:

  • Graduate of CAAHEP vascular sonography program/or comparable experience with RVT or RVS credentials required.

  • New graduates must obtain RVT or RVS credential within one year of hire.

  • BLS certification required.

  • Competencies in: ABI Arterial Doppler (no intervention) Carotid (no intervention) Aortic (no intervention) Saphenous vein mapping Exercise ABI DVT Upper/ Lower extremity required.

What Youll Do:

  • Verifies physicians orders and reviews patient record prior to exam.

  • Performs basic vascular ultrasound testing according to accredited vascular laboratory protocols ensures patient comfort throughout exam.

  • Recognizes and documents abnormal pathologies according to imaging protocols as necessary to support diagnosis.

  • Provides physician detailed preliminary report.

  • Enters measurement data and final report into cardiovascular reporting system

  • Ensures equipment is cleaned and functioning in accordance with manufactures guidelines.

  • Enters charges into electronic medical record.

Physical Requirements

  • Light to moderate physical effort with lifting and moving patients equipment and supplies.

  • Requires sitting standing reaching bending pushing and pulling.

  • Intact sense of sight and hearing required.
